Expendable Electro - Optic Observation Canister: EOC
Based on company expertise in the area of Aerodynamics System Engineerings, the company offers the EOC.
The system was designed as a very low cost and easy operation observation system.
As a spin off this system can be used also for dispartion of sensors for environamental monitorings.

The EOC payload is an autonomous GPS Guided Parachute which navigates towards the area which has to be observed. The target coordinates are transferred to the payload controller prior to the canister delivery. The canister can be dropped from an UAV, helicopter, light air plane or fired by a small rocket. The canister exercises a free, uncontrolled flight towards the general direction of the target area. Following payload ejection fromthe canister, the guided parachute carries the small video camera to the desired area.
EOC Principle of Operation is shown in the next drawing:
The main operational steps are:
Control Station
- Activation of GPS receiver adjacent to a laptop computer.
- Pointing on target location on a map or aerial photograph on the computer screen, and automatic transfer of this data to the EOC.

EOC
- Drop (e.g. from an UAV) or launch at azimuth of photograph area.
- Free flight of canister.
- Ejection by time command of GPS guided parachute with the Video Camera and Broadcast System.
- Pop-up of parachute and navigation toward the area of photography.
- Transfer of video sequence to control station.
Control Station
- Receiving of video sequence on laptop computer.
- Video sequence analysis.
It is a low cost and very affordable "fire and forget" system which can be easily operated without any special training.
